Salt Lake City – Wet winter and spring conditions should produce enough runoff to fill reservoirs and keep most reservoirs full into the summer for boat launching and other water recreation activities. Northern Utah boating managers report water levels will be average, if not higher.
Southern Utah boating parks report reservoirs should be near capacity. Due to construction, Wide Hollow Reservoir at Escalante Petrified Forest State Park is closed for the season.
“If precipitation continues and residents use water wisely, we should have enough water to keep reservoirs at adequate water levels throughout the summer,” commented Assistant Boating Program Manager Chris Haller. “Boaters should take advantage of the great conditions and look forward to a good boating season.”
