Registration open for Antelope Island Bison Roundup and Range Ride



Syracuse – Antelope Island State Park hosts the 24th Annual Bison Roundup and Range Ride Friday, October 29 and Saturday, October 30. Horsemen and women interested in participating in the range ride must register by Friday, October 22. All registration documents are available online at stateparks.utah.gov.

Range ride participants herd the Antelope Island bison to designated areas on Friday and Saturday. Please be aware that in past years, most bison have been moved to holding facilities on the first day of the range ride. Registration fees are $25 per person and include a souvenir bandana and entertainment. For more information, visit http://www.stateparks.utah.gov/ or call (801) 773-2941.

July 9 Wasatch Mountain State Park - Midway
New Moon/Starlight Hike: Join the park naturalist at 8:30 p.m. for a hike along portions of the Deer Creek Trail under the light of the stars. We'll have a chance to watch the sunset, and enjoy the incredible views over Deer Creek Reservoir. Wear sturdy shoes, bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. (435) 654-1791

July 10 Rock Cliff Nature Center/Jordanelle State Park - Francis

Old Spanish Trail: The general route of the Old Spanish Trail passes through central Utah. At 11 a.m. join Lydia Jakovac from Fishlake National Forest for a photographic presentation about the Old Spanish Trail and efforts to add the Fishlake Cutoff of the Old Spanish Trail to the National Historic Trail. Fire Restrictions placed on Antelope Island State Park

Syracuse - Due to dry conditions, fire restrictions are now in place at Antelope Island State Park until further notice. Only gas grills or charcoal fires in designated fire pits are allowed. No open wood fires are allowed.

Full Moon Snowshoe Hike- Join Friends of Wasatch Mountain at 7 p.m. for the annual snowshoe hike under the light of the full moon. Hikes are available for all ability levels. Cost is $5 per person. Register now for the Antelope Island Bison Roundup Range Ride


Syracuse – Antelope Island State Park staff hosts the 23rd Annual Bison Roundup and Range Ride Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1.
